Julie Fischer

My work as a feminist-holistic counselor is an outgrowth of who I am and how I live my life. As far back as I can remember, I have been a passionate advocate for women, for children, and other groups of people that are too often marginalized, discounted, unheard or dis-empowered in our society.

My work with clients at Full Circle allows me to use my passion for and expertise in women’s issues and my personal and professional knowledge about ADHD to advocate for and empower women, children, men, couples and families. My mission is to facilitate true healing, health and happiness through empowerment; because I believe that when each of us claims the power of our own unique and authentic voice, then this world can sing a richer, fuller song than ever before.

My professional education and training include a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point with a major in Communications and a minor in Psychology and a Masters Degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a dual emphasis in school counseling and community counseling. Upon graduation, I worked for two years as a licensed school counselor (grades K-8). Then, in 1999, I established Full Circle Counseling Services LLC to offer the first Feminist-Holistic Counseling in the Fox Valley area, because I felt passionate about offering counseling that empowers people, and focuses on all areas of wellness; physical, mental, emotional and spiritual (feminist-holistic counseling).

Personally, I enjoy reading, writing, and solitary, reflective time. I love to learn, and I like to create; whether it’s beaded jewelry, a poem or story, or a healthy new dessert. I am the mother of two beautiful children; I am often amazed, but never surprised by all that they teach me about life. My family and I live a vegetarian, holistic, health conscious life and like to stay connected to the natural world. I look forward everyday to all the possibilities of learning and growing, giving and receiving, doing and being, that life has to offer.
